These kitty coasters are a fun DIY project perrrrfect for a fun gift. (couldn’t help the kitty pun! Sorry) Personally, I made these for a friend who is getting married soon. (spoiler alert for her!) Ready to see how you can make these adorable, inexpensive coasters yourself? Let’s get started.
You will need:
- Baking Clay in Black, White and Pink (I grabbed the brand Sculpey from my local craft store)
- Baking Clay Glaze
- Gold Paint (The kind lady at the craft store recommended the Martha Stewart brand because she thought it would turn out the shiniest. And I was very happy with how it turned out!)
- Butter Knife
- Drinking Glass (or any circular object you can use as a template to cut around)
- Paint Brushes
- Rolling Pin
Bake the coasters according to package instructions. Once the coaster has cooled, paint the edges and ears gold. Finish with a coating of glaze (to protect them from moisture). Now pour yourself a glass! You deserve it after all that hard work. 🙂
You’ve cat to be kitten me how cute these turned out!
